QUAD CITY ELECTRICAL
TRAINING CENTER

Our staff consists of 32 instructors. They attend training sessions at the University of Tennessee in the field of Adult Education. All our instructors are Journeyman Wiremen from their specific field, or hold positions in our industry related to the subject they instruct. We have certified instructors in Siecor Fiberoptics, Lucent Technologies Category 5, structured wiring systems, and all tele-communication work.

On a local level our industry invests $400,000 annually in training our apprentices and journeymen. Nationally the IBEW and NECA invest $65,000,000 annually in training its workforce.

Over the last ten years we have graduated more than 200 apprentices to journeyman status.



APPRENTICESHIP
TRAINING PROGRAMS

Inside Journeyman Wireman Program:
This program consists of 8000 hours of on-the-job training and five years of classroom instruction. Over the five years, apprentices have 1100 classroom contact hours.

Residential Wireman Program:
This program consists of 4500 hours of on-the-job training and three years of classroom instruction. Over the three years, apprentices have 540 classroom contact hours.

Tele-Data Journeyman Technician Program:
This program consists of 4500 hours of on-the-job training and three years of classroom instruction. Over the three years, apprentices have 540 classroom contact hours.
